TriZetto Announces ASP Agreement With
Institute For Urban Family Health

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – June 13, 2001 – The TriZetto(R) Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TZIX) has signed an application service provider (ASP) agreement with The Institute for Urban Family Health, a nonprofit corporation that serves high-medical-need communities throughout New York City. TriZetto will host practice management systems for 13 office sites managed by the Institute and provide transaction-processing services. The contract includes several facilities of Continuum Health Partners that are managed by the Institute.

ASP solutions -- hosted applications available for a predictable, monthly fee -- offer numerous benefits to physician groups, including cost savings, rapid implementation, and automatic system maintenance and upgrades. According to Bill Schultz, TriZetto's senior vice president of Provider Services, TriZetto's combination of practice management expertise and a full array of end-to-end business and support services, such as billing transaction processing, enhance the value of the hosted applications the Institute will use.

"Physician groups not only need quality hardware and software, but they also need professional support to operate efficiently," Schultz says. "TriZetto's professional staff and service offerings can help ensure that the group's information technology and business operations are optimized so the doctors can focus on patient care."

"The Institute has long been considered a leader in primary care service delivery and training," says Neil Calman, M.D., President and CEO of the Institute. "Our upcoming link to TriZetto, one of the nation's premier healthcare IT companies, will enable us to provide the most advanced care to our patients. The population we serve is usually the last to benefit from advances in healthcare technology. This development reverses that trend, providing a level of service available in few other places. When fully implemented a year from now, Institute practices will offer automatic checking of all prescriptions for accuracy, the complete elimination of paper medical records, the ability to produce patient education information on demand on hundreds of topics, patient access to their medical records through the Internet, and many other features."
