TriZetto Signs Agreement With McNulty-Barber Consulting to Provide Hosted Software and Outsourced Services for Manatee County Government
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – October 14, 2003 – The TriZetto® Group Inc. (NASDAQ:TZIX) announced it has signed a seven-year software hosting and business process outsourcing agreement with McNulty-Barber Consulting Inc., a management consulting firm that provides health benefits services to the Manatee County Government and other Manatee County employers in Bradenton, Fla.
Under the agreement, TriZetto will host and manage QicLink™ — software that automates and simplifies the claims process for benefits administrators — in its data center. TriZetto will also provide administrative healthcare services to support 3,900 employees in Manatee County. These outsourced services include claims processing, medical management, member enrollment, customer service and billing.
McNulty-Barber Consulting, together with the Manatee County Government, selected TriZetto after a diligent review of multiple IT vendors.

QicLink is used by more than 230 healthcare organizations to process approximately 140 million medical claims annually, or 8 percent of all non-pharmacy claims processed in the U.S. On August 6, TriZetto announced enhancements to the system, including new functionality for health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs) and a new user interface with Windows-based displays and a Web-based browser, which are intuitive and easy to navigate. QicLink's HRA functionality will initially be available in September 2003. The new user interface will be rolled out in phases, beginning with enrollment, application processing and customer service functions, in December 2003.
