APS Healthcare Realizes Immediate Benefits, ROI from TriZetto's Hosted Facets Software and Business Services
National Specialty Healthcare Company Goes Live with Comprehensive Outsourced Services
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – January 27, 2004 – The TriZetto Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:TZIX), announced that APS Healthcaresm (APS) – a specialty healthcare company serving more than 12 million members in the United States and Puerto Rico – has successfully transitioned a significant portion of its business to Facets®, TriZetto's comprehensive administrative software. TriZetto is hosting and managing Facets for APS, working closely with the APS operations team to improve many of the company's day-to-day business transactions, such as claims processing, member eligibility and enrollment.
To date, 1.6 million APS behavioral healthcare members have transitioned to the Facets system. According to APS Behavioral Health Division President Rick Hafer, Ph.D., outsourcing the company's administrative software and related transaction processes has already provided the company tremendous benefits in customer service and processing claims.
"Customer service has always been our top priority, and the new Facets system is helping APS exceed important goals in this area," said Dr. Hafer.
APS provides specialty healthcare solutions in the areas of behavioral healthcare, disease management, medical management, disability management, pharmacy and physical medicine, as well as employee assistance programs. Its primary customers include corporations, HMOs, unions, PPOs, indemnity plans and public sector programs. APS cited another key benefit of Facets: its ability to interact with the wide variety of systems used by APS clients.
TriZetto's APS implementation team successfully managed the many challenges typical of large software implementations, including the creation of a single repository of benefit and member data to feed the Facets system. The transfer of all current and historical claims data was completed in a matter of days. Because of this efficiency, APS could continue to function and provide seamless member service during the transition.
"Even with this customer's multiple, complex product lines and large data loads, the Facets conversion was essentially invisible to the company's members," said Patricia Gorman, president of TriZetto's outsourcing unit.
